We conclude our epic Minecraft journey today. Omega and I are back on Earth from the Nether and are ready to begin going home.

Minecraft

Shortly after leaving our portal, we meet the bane of Minecrafters everywhere: the creeper. A few arrows and a whack from my shovel put him down. Why my shovel? I panicked and missed selecting my sword, It worked though, and that’s all that matters.

Minecraft

Morning rose as we entered a valley. We weren’t going to stop for a damned thing, not monsters, not ore, not loot, not nothing.

Minecraft

Ok, maybe for a cliff. I climbed down a nearby slope, but Floata wanted to jump.

Minecraft

Dude, don’t do it! There’s water down there, but it’s too far away!

Minecraft

NOOOOO!!

Minecraft

Oh, he made it to the water. Phew. We next encounters a large body of water so we built boats to cross it.

Minecraft

“Look Ma, I’m on a BOAT!” This went fine until we had an accident of “Titanic” proportions.

Minecraft

“We’re on a collision course! Change direction!”

Minecraft

Too late.

Minecraft

That was funny, I’m not going to lie. Omega wrecked on me while I just sailed peacefully on.

Minecraft

Crossing another deep valley I turned around to see a zombie in the shadows behind us. Man, even in the daytime we can’t catch a break!

Minecraft

That night we set sail on a huge ocean, following our compasses. This is where everything went horribly wrong.

Minecraft

What the freaking hell!? Our compasses say THIS is HOME. I think NOT! Unless God gave us a biblical flood and these are our Arks, then no – this isn’t home. We were in a heavy forest. Do you see a heavy forest? I sure as hell don’t see one.

Minecraft

We sailed around the spot that supposedly was home. This is horribly unfair. What the eff, game?!

We quit at this point, but not before exporting a map to see what exactly happened.

Minecraft

This was our map. Here it is again, larger and annotated.

Minecraft

You can see the issue. I don’t know what went wrong, but I know one thing: we had fun, and we may do it again.

Alphasim out.
