This is my first live blog in a long, long time, so I’m dedicating it to Civilization V, in honor of it’s upcoming expansion pack, Gods and Kings. The blog will start at 12:00 am, Midnight EST. Stop by and chime in or just follow the story. Read this full post to see the live blog.

UPDATE: It’s over. At 2:25 AM, the game wrapped up and I concluded the live blog. It’s still available for all to read, though. Warning: minor foul language used.

Reading this.. You must be very bad at this game. can’t keep your people happy, not sure about how you place your new cities and… you had little to NO military units?
You’d be majorly screwed if you had to play against me and/or 3xR.

I’m not usually this bad. I’m not great, but I just had a really, really bad game. I honestly don’t know what went wrong. From turn one things went south and I just never recovered. I played on Prince, on which I usually win or at least keep up. I blame Omega for dulling my mental acuity during a marathon Rise of Nations game a few hours earlier. lol

For the record, though, vs. human players, yes I’d likely be screwed.

It does figure though, that the one time I try to publicly share my exploits I’d have one of my worst games ever. Life hates me like that.

          Excuses.
I really wonder how you kept people being pissed at you. I always keep them happy.
Also, I always play as Japan. Makes for a nice bonus in military power. Perfect for defending myself.

I told you; bad game. Don’t believe me if you want. I played as America because I usually have a large monetary surplus and use their bonus to buy up tiles. Japan is also one of the civs I play, mostly when I’m feeling confrontational. Their ability to fight at full strength even when hurt makes them a dangerous civ to mess with. I did another of these live blogs before as a trial, and in it I tangled with Japan for a few turns before wiping them off the map. You might be able to see it here (I’m not sure if that link works or not).
