Another year has passed, and it’s time to hand out the hardware. This wasn’t the best year for AAA games but there were still some very good titles that are deserving of the title Game of the Year. Click through to read our full list of winners.
Sometimes games slip through the cracks here at All Around Gaming Hub. It’s inevitable that we can’t review everything but once in a while a big game that we intend to cover doesn’t get its due in time. In the past we’ve moved on, letting the work on the review languish in favor of more up-to-date coverage. Today, we’re introducing our Quick Scores, micro reviews of games that we missed a reasonable window on. Our first two Quick Scores are Bioshock Infinite and Pikmin 3.
Fashionably late as ever, we’re taking a look at Grand Theft Auto 5 today. I blocked out allot of the hype that has been built up around this game, primarily because I felt I let the hype get to me in Grand Theft Auto IV, resulting in my overrating it in our review. Once upon a time, I used to love playing football games. I played the hell out of Madden 08 for PC, and NFL 2K5 for PlayStation 2 is still my favorite. I really dislike Madden 25 though, for a myriad of reasons. It may not be a terrible game but there are problems here that I can’t overlook.
Nintendo has opted to release a new handheld model, and I have to say that I’m a little shocked. The Nintendo 2DS is a non-3D, slab-style version of their existing clamshell 3D-capable model.
With Saints Row IV’s Inauguration Station launching yesterday on Steam, PSN and Xbox Live, players can now create their own anti-heroes for the upcoming mayhem maker. With that in mind I wanted to see what kind of fun – and trouble – I could get into with this new toy.
I originally intended to write a series of articles on E3 2013, but I eventually decided against it. The reasons are largely to do with my unenthusiasm for the next generation of consoles, and the fact that neither the PlayStation 4 nor the Xbox One have sold me on their potential yet.
