Microsoft is dropping the price on the Xbox One to $399, equivalent to a PlayStation 4, in an attempt to spur sales. In the process however, they are splintering their community and possibly doing more harm than good. They achieve this cost savings by stripping the new model of the Kinect, which is one of the dumber yet predictable decisions I’ve seen in quite some time.

By now you have likely heard about the upcoming shutdown of Gamespy’s online services. For those not following it, Gamespy is a service that provides the multiplayer component to many games from the past decade. It is being shut down at the end of this month and a slew of popular games will be affected.

Today on MaMinecraft, the official AAGH Minecraft server, we finally got around the slaying the ender dragon. After many delays (we originally planned on doing the fight back in January), the battle finally commenced today. In what started out as an indie developer tech demo gone crazy, Goat Simulator has arrived. Curious, I head to its Steam page for more information and find this as the product announcement from developer Coffee Stain Studios: “You can now be a goat.”

When Sim City released for PC last year, the biggest complaint lobbied towards it was its always-on online requirement. As of now, that is officially a thing of the past. Sim city can now be played in an offline single player mode that, to be honest, should have been available from the beginning.
