QUICKTIPS: Tampa Bay didn't really deserve the
beat-down it got |
Madden NFL 09

I noticed on the stat screen that the Tampa Bay wasn't much
on offense, and got it's record almost purely on it's defensive merits. I knew
that if we played like we were capable, we could take this team down. On the
second play from scrimmage to start the game, I spun out of two tackles and took
the ball 64 yards for the score, giving us an early 7-0 lead. After our defense
held, Cullpepper hit Isaac Bruce for seven more, and the rout was on.
Cullpepper hit Bruce for a couple of first downs, and then hit Vernon Davis for
another TD, taking the crowd out of the game before halftime. Our defense was
stout the entire sixty minutes, acting as an impenetrable wall for the poor Bucs offense.
I caught a touchdown pass in the third quarter
to pad my stats. As
the game clock wound down, I was used to run out the clock. On the last play of
the game, I hopped over two diving linemen for another 15 yards and secured my
spot as Player of the Game as we won, 56-0. After tbe game, I answered a few questions in an
interview. I'd been doing interviews since the playoffs started, trying to
improve my personality. After my latest bit, I'd finally reached 'dependable,'
in the eyes of my peers. I don't know how, or why, but I was seen as conceited
when I entered the league. Go figure.
