Cullpepper and I connect a few times in the third quarter, but I spend most of my time protecting him and we try to open up the lead. With under a minute left in the 3rd, we hit a field goal to go up 17-7. It feels secure, but Brady and the Pats have a history of miracles, so our defense has to be on it's toes. It's a back and forth tussle for field position in the final quarter, with me trying to pick up first downs on the ground to keep the clock moving. I don't get much in the way of big plays, but I keep the clock moving, which of course is the goal.

With 1:48 left, Cullpepper hits Moran Norris on a route out of the backfield and he goes 21 yards for the score, making it 24-7. I quietly celebrate, but just like last year, Brady had all of his timeouts to go the length of the field, however this year they'd need to score and then recover an onside kick to have a chance. Still, that doesn't deter Tom Brady from marching his team to the 4 yard line before time runs out. The siren sounds, and we've done it.
