QUICKTIPS: Next season will go quicker, I
promise |
Madden NFL 09

With the Super Bowl over and the trophy in my case, it was
time to turn my attention to the Pro Bowl. Daunte, Norris and I
all make the starting squad, setting up an all-49ers backfield. I manage to
rumble for a couple yards, but the AFC's stars are quick to level me. Thank
goodness I play in the NFC! I do catch a Culpepper pass on the sidelines and
take it to the house, so I have a Pro Bowl touchdown to add to my resume. I'm on
the field to block for a field goal in the second half, but other then that I
don't see the field. It was a fun time and we win, 31-10. Now I face the long
off-season.
The
off-season sees me working out allot. I work on my strength and speed for the
up-coming season. Isaac Bruce retires and finds his way to the Hall of Fame,
having helped us win the title. As a result of his retiring, we were weaker at wide reciever,
so we aquired Antwaan Randel-El in the preseason to lead the recieving corps. In the draft, we pick up a 1st round cornerback,
which doesn't exactly impress me. However,
the really bad news comes at the end of training camp, as Culpepper gets hurt,
partially tearing his MCL and being sidelined for seven weeks. When I signed, I
was looking forward to playing behind Alex Smith, and it looks like I'll get my
chance. Here's looking ahead to the 2009-2010 season!
