Life as a Superstar, Pt 5

In this - the longest entry so far - we pick up in the second half of my second season. Culpepper didn't come back on time, so Alex Smith played two more games then expected, and literally threw them both away with late game interceptions. I wasn't much help either, because I couldn't make headway against the defense. It looked like we were up the creek without a paddle. When Culpepper came back, I expected a big change, but no dice. We won our next game, but only barely. It wasn't until the Indianpolis Colts rolled into town that things began to change.

I had not had a touchdown since the first two weeks of the year by this point, but for some reason the Colts woke up the killer inside of me. I only ran for 95 yards, but I had two touchdowns and Cullpepper threw for another as we won the game handily. I was alive again, and I had faith in our team once more. The team that would learn that first hand was going to be the Detroit Lions, our next opponent. I went into the game ready for an easy match, but holy cow, did they roll over and die.
