I grew up a Marvel Comics fan. My Dad grew up on DC but I got my start with Marvel via “How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way,” an old video that I rented from the local library countless times as a kid. I went through my school years learning to draw the likes of Spiderman and Wolverine while others around me were learning far less useful things like math and science. What all of this backstory adds up to is that I was looking forward to reviewing Lego Marvel Superheroes. Was I let down by the Lego brand again?
As a late comer to the Assassins Creed series (the first one I played was Assassin’s Creed III), I don’t have a lot of preconceived notions about what the series can or should be. Instead I look at it from a more neutral angle, and from that point of view, I’m going on record that Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag is one of the best games I have played in 2013.
Back in the swing of things post-Extra Life marathon, today we’re going to take give First Opinion on Batman Arkham Origins. As a fan of the previous two titles in the series, Arkham Origins has allot to live up to if it wants to impress me.
Bored today? Need a pick me up after rage quitting a game? Enjoy watching other people play games and sharing a laugh? We’re working on some new videos to entertain everyone with that may just be what you’re looking for. First up, a round of PlanetSide 2.
Again late to the party, I have finally able to get around to playing Bioshock Infinite. Being so far behind the curve I was going to go ahead and skip it, but after doing that with Assassins Creed III and Dishonored (two of the bigger games last year) I decided to give it a shot and postpone covering Monaco for now, which places us even further behind. In any event, here’s my Bioshock Infinite First Opinion.
Ace of Spades seems like it would be promising. It looks like Team Fortress 2 meets Minecraft, and indeed, it bills itself as such. Unlike those two runaway hits, should you be the one doing the running away? Let’s lay our cards on the table and find out.
Do you like the idea of medieval combat with sword and board, dodging arrows and fighting hand-to-hand with other players? If so then you ought to give Chivalry a try this weekend on Steam, because it’s free for the next few days.
Planetside 2 and I don’t always get along. We bicker, we fight, we split up and decide to go our separate ways. But like some dysfunctional couple, I keep coming back and it always welcomes me with open arms – only to have me gunned down again by someone I totally didn’t see. Yup, it’s another of those games.
