SimCity has always had a spot in the hearts of PC gamers. Many people got their first experience with the series in SimCity 2000, but I kind of backed into the series by way of the Super Nintendo version. From there I’ve tried all of the PC releases, from the original through SimCity Societies. My favorite was long the iconic SC2000 but that may be changing. That is, if EA can get this game in reliable, working order.
This is our latest Review in Progress, or RIP, this one covering SimCity. Come back all week as we prepare our review.

The sign of a successful sims-pansion is that the new content enriches the experience without obstruction other content. Everyone’s threshold of “enrichment” is different—Alpha, for example, hates being asked to travel to China—but clearly it’s important to be able to carry on previous favorite hobbies while taking on new hobbies or new professions.
In a long-overdue review, here’s our take on Battlefield 3. I’m doing this in a particularly objective fashion, for one reason: I suck at this game.
It’s been a slow month, so here’s a review for a game I missed last year: Sims 3: Pets. I was really disappointed in The Sims: Unleashed and pleasantly surprised with Sims 2: Pets. How does their Sims 3 counterpart stack up?
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a new title due out early next month. In that light, let’s give it a quick once over and see what we find.
I finally got ahold of Battlefield 3 for PC last night. I was having reservations about it since I have long sucked (for lack of a better term) at shooters online, and BF3 has no (quality) single player component. What did I find when I finally picked it up?
We have reviewed the footage (and gameplay), and have come up with a verdict. The review is in, and we’re here to deliver it.
