I am planning to review Marvel Heroes, a Marvel-ized Diablo style MMO in the near future. I do not, however, plan to come within a country mile of it’s DLC/expansion packs. Why? Let me explain.
To get to the point, I like Borderlands 2. It’s fun and kinetic in its action and I love the gunplay. However; is it better than the original Borderlands, and is it something everyone will enjoy? Let’s find out.
I didn’t much play Guild Wars, to be honest. I think I put in, at most, an hour or two in to that game, and I was never impressed. I never got into that game and therefore I didn’t think I would be that excited for Guild Wars 2. How wrong I was, because as I learned more about GW2 I became more and more interested. Now that it is here, I have been playing it nonstop not just to review it, but because it is probably the best MMO I have played in years.
When I sat down to do this review it dawned on me that I was attacking it from the wrong angle. People don’t want to know if they should play Final Fantasy VII. If they haven’t figured that out in the last 14 years, I probably can’t help them now. What I needed to look at was if they should play this version, and less on whether it’s worth a purchase as a game in 2012, because most people who pick it up will be buying it for the nostalgia factor. We need to decide if this release is worth the money.
Final Fantasy VII is one of my all time favorite games, and one of the original PlayStation’s classics. Now, it’s available in a new PC version with some minor upgrades and compatibility optimizations for modern hardware. I had to dive in and give it a shot.
Diablo III is still fresh, and so I want to share my favorite character’s build. His name is Spook, and he’s a witch doctor. Here’s his build at level 29.
In a sad development, the entire workforce for 38 Studios and Big Huge Games has been laid off. The reason given being financial issues. We feel for the the now-unemployed developers of such a fun, unique title and hope they find work soon.
Diablo, the titular baddie of Diablo III seems to have spent allot of his time and effort attacking Blizzard’s servers the last week, but is his game worth fighting him for?
