Playing Starbound, I’m reminded of my time in Terraria. I liked Terraria but it didn’t hold my attention for too long after writing my review. Starbound is more enticing due to its space theme. Don’t like the planet you started on? Hop aboard your starship and fly to a new one. It’s really liberating.

Will and I like playing with Minecraft Bukkit server plugins, but  it doesn’t make sense to toy with them on MaMinecraft. We also like making videos, so here we just combine the two in to a new video series, BukkitTippers.

I love outer space, and I’ve always wanted a successor to Noctis (one of my favorite sandbox games ever, which I will definitely have to write about soon). While not exactly similar, Pioneer reminds me of the free form exploration of Noctis. Or rather, it could if I ever learn how to play it.

The original Scribblenauts on Nintendo DS was a unique game that tried to shoehorn a primary gimmick (typing something out and having it appear in the game as an interactive, cartoony representation) into two different types of game: a platformer and a puzzle game. Several sequels later and you have Scribblenauts Unlimited. I’m reviewing the PC edition, due to a distinct lack of a Wii U.

The sign of a successful sims-pansion is that the new content enriches the experience without obstruction other content.  Everyone’s threshold of “enrichment” is different—Alpha, for example, hates being asked to travel to China—but clearly it’s important to be able to carry on previous favorite hobbies while taking on new hobbies or new professions.
