The original Scribblenauts on Nintendo DS was a unique game that tried to shoehorn a primary gimmick (typing something out and having it appear in the game as an interactive, cartoony representation) into two different types of game: a platformer and a puzzle game. Several sequels later and you have Scribblenauts Unlimited. I’m reviewing the PC edition, due to a distinct lack of a Wii U.
Planetside 2 and I don’t always get along. We bicker, we fight, we split up and decide to go our separate ways. But like some dysfunctional couple, I keep coming back and it always welcomes me with open arms – only to have me gunned down again by someone I totally didn’t see. Yup, it’s another of those games.
I’m late with this FTL: Faster than Light review, I know. I could have sworn I had already done it but if I did, I don’t know what I did with it. In any event, here is our review.
NBA 2K13 is being heralded across ‘net as the best basketball game ever, and it may well be so – on the consoles. On the PC, however, 2K Sports hasn’t given their usual 110%.
To get to the point, I like Borderlands 2. It’s fun and kinetic in its action and I love the gunplay. However; is it better than the original Borderlands, and is it something everyone will enjoy? Let’s find out.
I didn’t much play Guild Wars, to be honest. I think I put in, at most, an hour or two in to that game, and I was never impressed. I never got into that game and therefore I didn’t think I would be that excited for Guild Wars 2. How wrong I was, because as I learned more about GW2 I became more and more interested. Now that it is here, I have been playing it nonstop not just to review it, but because it is probably the best MMO I have played in years.
You’ll have to pardon me if I sound wistful here; I’m suffering from a bit of déjà vu. I’m playing NCAA Football 13 and I can’t help but feel like I’ve reviewed this one before. You know, like last year or something. Oh, that’s right.
When I sat down to do this review it dawned on me that I was attacking it from the wrong angle. People don’t want to know if they should play Final Fantasy VII. If they haven’t figured that out in the last 14 years, I probably can’t help them now. What I needed to look at was if they should play this version, and less on whether it’s worth a purchase as a game in 2012, because most people who pick it up will be buying it for the nostalgia factor. We need to decide if this release is worth the money.
